Your introduction to our community.

Passing the examination marks the beginning of a new phase of learning. In the club, you can share experiences, make contacts at events and deepen your knowledge step by step.

Tell us where you are in your journey: still preparing for the exam, newly licensed or already gaining your first experience in the hunting ground. We can then direct you to the right contacts and opportunities.

Three ways to put it into practice.

Practise shooting

At the Arzberg shooting range, the focus is on the running boar, 100-metre range and trap range. Check training and requirements with the shooting section.

Deepen your knowledge of the hunting ground

Shot placement seminars with Jürgen Dietl help you better interpret observations and signs on the trail. The local hunting groups offer opportunities to get involved locally.

What do you need next?

Before the hunting examination

Looking for guidance on training or would you like to find out more about the association’s work? Get in touch with your questions. Confirmed course offerings, exam registration and requirements should be checked with the relevant training provider and responsible authority.

After the hunter examination

Make use of joint events to meet people in your area. Personal conversations are a good way to discuss questions about hunting ground practice, training and next steps.

Take the first step.

A short message is all it takes: tell us how far you have got with your training, where you are from and what you are interested in. We’ll help you find your place in the club.

Check your insurance before practical training.

Hunting liability insurance

Before taking part in hunting activities, check which activities are covered by your hunting third-party liability insurance. If you handle a dog, also check its training and use with your insurer.

Personal protection

Ask specifically about your own accident cover and the terms of the relevant offer. Information about member benefits and contacts is available from the Bavarian Hunting Association.
