Shooting activities at Arzberg.

Running boar, 100-metre ranges and a trap range: at the Arzberg shooting range, we train for practical hunting.

At the heart of club life

Arzberg. Our place to practise.

The Arzberg shooting range in Beilngries is jointly maintained by Hubertus Beilngries and Jägerverein Berching-Dietfurt e.V. Here we practise rifle and shotgun shooting, meet for training and hold club championships.

Training opportunities

Three stands for your hunting practice.

Running boar

The moving target carrier enables practice for shooting at moving game. You can practise shouldering the gun, following the target and firing in a controlled way.

100-metre ranges

Two lanes are available for rifle shooting at fixed targets. Before your visit, agree the intended use and permitted equipment with the range management.

Clay pigeon range / Trap

Clay pigeon shooting focuses on a smooth movement and safely picking up the target.

At the trap range at Arzberg shooting complex, we practise shooting at clay targets with shotguns – also known as clay pigeon shooting.

The trap launches the clays. Training focuses on picking up the moving target, maintaining a smooth movement and handling the shotgun safely.

Whether you are a young hunter gaining your first experience or looking to build your confidence, discuss your training requirements and use of the clay pigeon range in advance with our shooting officer.

Arrange your visit

Check dates, access, supervision, permitted equipment and fees before travelling. The range rules and the instructions of the range supervisor apply on site.

Training & evidence

Training that helps you improve.

Practise regularly

Field shooting requires practice and an honest assessment of your own ability. Regular training helps to improve your stance, concentration and shot execution.

Even after obtaining a hunting licence, the range is a place to exchange experience and improve your skills under supervision.

Getting started as a newly qualified hunter

Shooting certificates and practice badges

Do you need proof for a hunting invitation or would you like to obtain a shooting proficiency badge? Tell the shooting range manager which discipline you want and what requirements the organiser has set. The date and assessment will be agreed together.

Shooting badges and shooting practice booklets are available from the BJV shop. You can obtain the required certificates of performance from us.
