Wounded-game tracking seminars
With Jürgen Dietl: understand signs of game and prepare carefully for tracking wounded game.
What does the shot site tell us?
After a shot, careful observation and calm action are essential. At the shot-site seminar with Jürgen Dietl, we look at the signs left by game and the information that is important for a tracking team.
In the hunting ground, theory becomes practical: the group examines prepared scenarios, compares signs of game and discusses what they mean. There is room for questions as well as experience from participants’ own hunting practice. The seminar is aimed at hunters who want to deepen their knowledge, and at trainee hunters who want to gain confidence in identifying and interpreting signs.

Observe. Understand. Work together.
Assess the situation
Where was the game standing, how did it react and in which direction did it flee? We look at how to record observations clearly and bring them together to inform the next steps.
Learn to recognise signs of game
Different tracks and finds may be present at the point where an animal was shot. Seeing them in practice sharpens the eye for the differences—and for recognising when your own assessment cannot provide a reliable answer.
Prepare for tracking wounded game
A clear description of the situation helps when handing over to the tracking team. The seminar therefore also covers working with experienced dog handlers and raising any concerns promptly.
