The Government of the Upper Palatinate asks hunters to observe guidance from the Regensburg Water Management Office: No carrion baiting sites should be established in sensitive areas around sinkholes in Jurassic karst.
Mapped sinkholes can be viewed in UmweltAtlas Bayern under “Geohazards – mass movements”. Topographic maps also often indicate relevant areas.
Anyone requiring further information about the location of sinkholes is asked to contact the Regensburg Water Management Office directly.
Please pass this guidance on to hunters in the affected hunting areas.
