Snow, freezing rain and crusted snow are already a challenge for our wildlife. It will be interesting to see how the winter develops and whether a period of hardship is officially declared (this is the responsibility of the Lower Hunting Authority), as has just happened, for example, in the district of Aurich in the far north.
