A walk in the forest instead of simply sitting in a classroom is enjoyable for children and teachers alike. After all, it is easier to remember something when you can feel how spruce needles prick while fir needles do not, rather than just hearing the theory 🌲
The girls and boys from the Berching school were highly motivated and confidently completed their team tasks.
Together, we took a close look at the tree species and discussed which animals live in the different layers of the forest.
As a keepsake, we made a woodland mobile for each class to help them remember what they had learned back in the classroom.
‘That was a great day and we learned a lot,’ was the verdict of the 39 third-year pupils.
