For the project day in Holnstein, our team brought the forest along: branches, cones, moss, wood and bark were made into a barefoot trail. Pelts and animal specimens brought native forest wildlife to life.
For the sense of touch, there were woodland scents and animal sounds. Together, the group made woodland music using sticks, leaves, chestnuts and cones. In the touch-and-feel game, participants identified natural materials hidden under a cloth.
As a keepsake, we made autumn chains from natural materials. The afternoon showed how nature education can bring together people with different abilities.
