Our annual general meeting, including the mandatory trophy display, took place on Saturday. Alongside reports from the different departments, our 1st chair gave a review of the previous year’s activities. Accompanied by music from our hunting horn players, it was a lovely evening.
30 trophies were awarded prizes across our three local hunting groups.
Is it useful or pointless? That’s open to debate, as is the requirement to select trophies in the first place. To assess the health of a game population, the females would theoretically also have to be examined. That makes little sense, since you can’t draw reliable conclusions from the skull alone.
