The fifth woodland rally in the town of Berching’s holiday programme brought together 37 children and 20 volunteers. BRK-Bereitschaft Berching took part as a partner, and Hunting Queen Diana visited the children.
Feel nature, experiment with dirty water, try out hunting horn sounds and decipher terms from hunting terminology: the activity stations combined curiosity with movement. The test of courage involved making your way over roots, sticks and stones blindfolded.
The programme also included a first aid course. A practice call to the Regensburg emergency dispatch centre, arranged in advance, brought a forest emergency to life. Finally, the children used natural materials to lay out large letters for a group photo.
