Do you know the different layers of the forest and which animals live in each one?
We get to know the forest and its trees.
Today, the children in class 3c got to know the forest and its animals on a woodland walk with the hunters Susanne and Jessi from Jägerverein Berching-Dietfurt e.V. What they had learnt in theory at school was reinforced and consolidated along the way.
We took a close look at the different layers of the forest and felt the differences between four conifers and four deciduous trees.
“Spruce needles prick, fir needles don’t” – we put the saying to the test, and the children also learnt that fir cones never lie whole on the forest floor, but break up into scales while still on the branch.
Together with classes 3a and 3b from Berching and class 3 from Holnstein, the pupils will become little forest experts after our project days 🌳🌲
