EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW
🔴 Fawns do not need help that could, in the worst case, lead to their death, or, in the second-worst case, to a life in captivity!
🔴 Picking up fawns—even with good intentions—is POACHING.
🔴 People who stay with a fawn to see whether its mother comes to collect it are doing EVERYTHING wrong. The doe will NOT come until she feels safe and the people have left!
🔴 Even if your dog has “never done anything before”, its play instinct could injure a delicate fawn and cause its mother to reject it because of the smell.
🔴 Bringing fawns to safety before a meadow is mown must be done by people who know what to do and act very sensitively, so that the doe will collect the fawn later.
🔴 If you are unsure whether the fawn is injured or has simply been left by its mother, contact the local hunting leaseholder. NEVER INTERVENE YOURSELF.
🔴 Fawns are not cute experimental subjects or playmates for children. They do not deserve to have people experiment on them just because they have always wanted to try it.
Interfering with nature for selfish reasons is not love of animals!
