Our district group looks back on an active year in 2024.
Thanks to our shooting instructors, we enjoyed many wonderful hours together at our shooting range on the Arzberg. Both our ‘running boar’ sessions and our clay pigeon Saturdays were well attended, showing that our hunters are keen to keep working on themselves and improving.
Our hunting horn players delighted many listeners, and their hunting horn music accompanied a number of private celebrations, birthdays and public events, as well as, of course, the highlight of the year: our Hubertus service.
Our dog trainers spent many hours at the dog training ground and helped turn dogs and people into teams that prove their worth in the field. Our four-legged hunting assistants are an important and indispensable part of responsible hunting.
A course on taking samples for trichina testing and a shot-site seminar were also well attended.
Our hunting association has presented itself to the public as approachable and knowledgeable, as reflected in the high level of acceptance of hunters in our local area – for which we are very grateful.
We are also proud and grateful for our public relations team, which accompanies several hundred children into the forest each year from spring to autumn and, for 4 years, has organised one of the highlights of the holiday programme: the woodland rally.
We would also like to thank everyone who is not only a holder of a hunting licence, but who hunts responsibly, keeps customs and traditions alive, approaches the “non-hunting public” openly and shows that hunting is much more ...
Our wish for 2025: peace throughout the world, good health for the people who matter to us, and hunters who show that hunting is about responsibility and a passion for woodland and wildlife.
With that in mind, we wish you all a happy New Year, and all our fellow hunters Waidmannsheil for the year ahead.
