Everyone knows what a meadow looks like, but did you know...
💚 that a meadow is actually created by people? If it is not grazed or mown, it would disappear, first becoming overgrown with scrub and then turning into woodland.
🦋 that the fewer nutrients there are, the greater the biodiversity?
🌼 that many meadow flowers are also edible for us?
🐞 that a meadow can be divided into storeys, like a house?

🏫 Holnstein Primary School, 1st class
🏫 Mühlhausen Primary School, classes 1a, 1b, 1c
Our hunters Susanne and Jessi spent time in the meadow with four 1st classes in total, looking for insects with magnifying pots and identifying common meadow flowers.
The hunters also tell the children that roe deer fawns lying alone in a meadow DO NOT NEED HELP! And that you must NEVER TOUCH OR TAKE AWAY #wildlifeYoung.
Each class made a “meadow window decoration” for the classroom, and each child was allowed to paint a wooden butterfly.
A total of 82 beautiful, colourful butterflies were made.
The children loved the lesson among the beetles and dandelion clocks and hope to meet again...
