Community outreach – 2025 season opener

The children at St Josef Kindergarten had chosen “Forest and meadow animals” as their carnival theme, so our women hunters were invited at short notice. They were delighted to come along and introduce the children to our native wildlife.
Getting up close to foxes, badgers and more—and being able to touch them—was the highlight of the day for 47 kindergarten children and 8 little nursery children. Our women hunters also showed them what you might carry in your rucksack when you go hunting. Anyone who wanted to could try on the camouflage cape, put on a hunting hat and look through the binoculars.
The trees from our “Wild Forest Theatre 2024” props were allowed to stay at the kindergarten and will serve as decorations for the carnival party 🌲🌳🌲
We’ve heard that after our visit, more than one child is determined to become a hunter when they grow up 😉
